1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Lineage ("the Service"), operated by Lineage, a registered Danish company, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users, including insurers, reinsurers, compliance teams, and any other organisations or individuals who access the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for use by organisations and professionals operating in the insurance and financial services sector. By using the Service, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation.

3. Account registration

You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating an account and for keeping your credentials secure. All activity that takes place under your account is your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorised access, please notify us immediately at hi@withlineage.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying infrastructure. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Payment and subscription

Access to Lineage is provided under a subscription agreement. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may update pricing or subscription terms with reasonable prior notice.

6. Intellectual property

All content, software, and infrastructure comprising the Service is owned by Lineage or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our explicit written permission. Decision records and audit data generated through your use of the Service remain your property. We do not claim ownership over any records created on your behalf.

7. Data and privacy

Lineage is designed to be deployed on your own infrastructure. Where data is processed by us, we handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion for violation of these Terms or for other legitimate operational reasons. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice before doing so.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided in good faith and with reasonable care. However, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every regulatory or legal purpose. You are responsible for verifying that Lineage meets the specific requirements of your jurisdiction and use case.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lineage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Danish law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Frederiksberg.
