We started Lineage because we kept asking the same question: if an AI system influences a decision that affects someone's livelihood, who is responsible for explaining it? Insurance needed an answer to that question, and we built one.

Built for insurers, by people who understand what is at stake

We are a small team spread across Copenhagen and Seoul, working on a problem that sits at the intersection of law, mathematics, and trust. Most of our best ideas have come out of long conversations over barley tea. We believe that the closer AI gets to consequential decisions, the more important it becomes to keep a human being in the loop and a clear record on the table. That belief is what Lineage is built on.
